Saunasaari’s wilderness hut built in the 21st century and has beds for 4. The hut is located along the Martimoaapa hiking trail, around 4 km to the west of Koivuselkä Wilderness Hut.

Hut has stove also. There is a maintained campfire site and dry toilet at the wilderness hut. Surface water, for example from streams, should be boiled before drinking, as water quality varies between different areas.
Next to the Saunasaari wilderness hut there is a logging hut’s sauna built in 1947. The logging hut’s sauna dates back to time when there ware a logger-cabin accomodated 24 men in Saunasaari. In the logger-cabin, in addition to the sleeping levels, there was a kitchen and a drying room.
