The Hangassalmenaho lean-to has been sold and demolihed in the summer of 2025 by Metsähallitus.

There is info table, a waste disposal point and dry toilet. The shelter and the toilet is accessible.

Accessible trail, Nature trail and Martimoaapa hiking trail leaves from Hangassalmenaho lean-to shelter. There are duckboards which can be travelled by wheelchair from the parking area to Hangassalmenaho lean-to shelter.
